Moon lights

This was taken at the Cumberland Mall parking lot. It's not a great picture, I just like how the moon looks more like another light than a celestial object.

Philhouette

On the way home from Philly in the summer, we witnessed a beautiful sunset sky. We had to stop in Gloucester City at an overpass and get some great silhouette pictures.

A Light in the Day

I'm surprised this picture never made it on here before. As I was going through photos for my portfolio interview, this one stood out to me as one of my favorites. Especially when it was printed, maybe because of it's proportions, I think it turned out great. I love that the sun illuminates the light as if it were on.

Center City

I took these while we drove through center city today, but I really like the way the Liberty towers look in the midday sunlight. They're very dark. And the nearly completed Comcast Center.

Hanging

I took this tonight at The Fire, a venue in Philadelphia. Thought it looked strange and cool, so there you have it.

In the background

Train schedules. Just messing around.

Pecan. That's right, they're 7:00 for half a pound.. I didn't get any because I didn't know if he was charging AM or PM.

Free ticket to the city...

All these seats, but everyone's walking. Who says Americans are lazy? Well there's not too many people walking either.. I guess everyone just stayed home..

Exit. Now.

I decided to upload a handful of pictures from my trip to New York today to somewhat make up for the extreme lack of updating. I've been busy and doing school things, which is no excuse since I'm trying to major in photography. Anyhow, I'm stuck in art courses at the moment, allowing me little time to explore my true artistic interests, but what do you think of these? Less traditional (espcially for me) shots from Trenton and Manhattan.

Smoke

On our trip to Centralia, PA, we found the remains of Highway 61 with giant cracks spewing out smoke. The mine fires below have been burning since the '70s and are expected to continue burning throughout the century at least. It was a really interesting trip, but not much else to see there besides smoking ground and big cracks in the asphalt.

Buildings and a Bridge

Philly skyline from Camden.

Long view to the Ben Franklin.

Last night I got to try out my new Canon Rebel XTi. We went to the Camden waterfront near the aquarium and spent a few hours. This was the result. I figured I'd add a series of pictures since I haven't updated in months. Enjoy.
