This isn't a favorite photo or anything, it just tells the story of today. The cheese in the bottom corner is from the "Pretzel Factory" (not the real one, the store they put in the new shopping center.) The liquor and ice cream was inspired by the drink we had last night at Olive Garden, a Chocolate Almond Amore. It was quite fantastic then and ours rivaled that. Lastly, the Cheez-Its were purchased for the bonfire that didn't happen (lame) but the night was great anyway cuz we made it that way.

Campus View
This was one of the first sights I got to check out on my unofficial tour of the Rutgers campus yesterday. It's a pretty sweet view and a really nice campus. But, my tour guide has a way of making everything even better than it already is, so you decide how nice this is! Being there just made me really anxious to be a student there in the fall. Can't wait..

Lunar
This post required multiple pictures to show that i wasn't just taking a picture of a quarter moon with the camera on its side. We spent the wee hours of this morning at East Point looking at the sky as the moon slowly went from full to a sliver of white on the edge of a red circle. It was pretty awesome at times, despite the bugs. Plus, afterwards I was treated to a bowl of Cookie Crisp. Sweet.

Awaiting the Fight
This picture is from Gettysburg, PA. We went camping there almost two years ago and it was a perfect day to walk around. I really like this statue in front of the sun; I can imagine a soldier really standing here and taking in the great view of sunset, getting ready to rest that night for the next day's battle.

Waterfalls
Since nothing photo-worthy occurred today, at least not where I could see it, I figured I'd put up this picture from Thunder Swamp where Ryan and I had our failed hiking trip. This was an awesome place though; I was sitting on a rock with my feet in the water, just listening to the water and writing in my tiny notebook. It was a great place to sit and think, all you could hear was the water rushing over the rocks!

A Gambling Problem
We went to Atlantic City to the Borgata tonight. Lots of money circulating there, but I just cashed in on the sights (a little gambling humor....) Anyway, I really liked this picture of the Borgata reflection on the window of a truck, it looks so awesome at night.
And....
I like this one for some reason. A reflection of the poker sign on the floor. I didn't think it was the greatest, but it looks a lot cooler when you're there, so that's why I put up the other one too!

Tickets for a Ride
I went to Ocean City tonight in hopes of making a boring day better. It didn't really work at all, but the weather was nice and this is the only picture I took that I like. It was too crowded on the boardwalk to stay long, but farther down the beach it was quieter and there were plenty of stars to sit under.

Dripping oar
Yes, I went kayaking today. It was a perfect day for it and although it was exhausting, it was relaxing at the same time. I was trying to get a picture of the water dripping from the oar, but I ended up liking this one with the water rings and the clouds reflecting. I'm ready to go again when you are!

Reflections
Washington, DC is probably one of my favorite places for many reasons, such as the unique sights that are unlike anywhere else. I don't know who the person in the picture is, a daughter or relative of a soldier whose name is on this wall or maybe just a visitor like me, but she seems solemn and introspective which is what happens when you see how many names are on this wall memorializing a war that was/is as controversial as the war we're currently fighting. Whether she knows a name on the wall or not is irrelevant, she could know someone who doesn't have a wall for his name just yet. Controversy aside, the reflection of a national monument on this wall is a reminder of what these men gave their lives for.

Lights over the highway
Out of the handful of pictures I took tonight, I like this one the best. I've always liked being on the South Street bridge over I-95 at night. I like it when there's more traffic and all you see is headlights and taillights up and down the road with the bridge behind, but this still turned out pretty cool. A nice picture to look at while enjoying fresh pretzels!
Peaceful battlegrounds
This picture is from Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. I like it because it looks very serene and innocent to contrast the brutal history of the ground that these flowers grow from.
I want to post a picture everyday that has something to do with the day or an old picture that I like. We'll see how long that lasts. Enjoy...
